Flying Is The Ultimate Therapy
For There are No Egos, Deadlines
or Politics in the Heavens
In a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, being a pilot is at once an endless source of delight and an act of rebellion.
Planes don’t lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to humility, respect and endless gratitude.
If the hairs of your neck tingle at the vision of dusk-rising as your wheels gently bid ado to the runway, then you know what I mean.
I’ve got it bad, this amiable madness for aviation. And so do all of us here at Palwaukee Flight School.
It also doesn’t hurt that people admire and respect pilots. All of a sudden, your opinion matters. Strange, I know, but very true.
Pilots, even part-timers, tend to have less stress, enjoy life more and manage their affairs better. Now I can’t explain the statistical reasons behind this, but I bet it has a lot to do with the fact that flying a plane is the ultimate meditation, escape from the daily grind, a literal stroll through the heavens.
It’s one of the few acts I can depend on to decompress, re-balance myself, or get inspired.
Yeah, life has a way of sucking the energy right out of you. That’s why I fly.
So come on out.
Yours truly,
